About the Role
As a Cost Accountant, you are responsible to monitor, analyze, and report cost variances, inventory valuation, and manufacturing efficiencies to support financial planning and operational decision -making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven solid experience in Cost Accounting for 3 + years
in a factory or manufacturing environment. - Able to speak in English OR Mandarin.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Strong analytical and problem -solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in personnel management or part -time cashier duties is a plus.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Willing to be placed in Kendal.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and track product costs, labor, material, and overhead expenses.
- Maintain and update cost accounting systems and records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and margin analysis.
- Monitor standard costs and update them as necessary based on product changes.
- Analyze production cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate cost data.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs.
- Perform inventory analysis and support annual physical inventory processes.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation.
