Responsibilities:
- Author Content from user perspective based on feature/user stories
- Monitor documentation builds
- Author Content from user perspective based on feature/user stories for release notes, user guides, installation guides, and more
- Editorial review and formatting of content contributions from SMEs
- Documentation release activities
- Documentation defect fixing
Required Skill Set:
- Experience of 3 -5 years in content writing
- Ability to understand technical content and be able to convert into user documentation
- Knowledge of core technical communication concepts, such as topic -based authoring, minimalism, task -oriented design, single -sourcing
- Understanding of core information development processes: content planning, content creation,
- content review
- Experience with Microsoft Word and AsciiDoc (or other Markdown -based documentation systems)
- Experience with GitHub and pull request workflows, including command line operations (clone, pull, commit, push, etc.)
- Experience with Jira, ADO, or similar task management tools
- Clear understanding of Lean and Agile software development processes, their application to projects, and how to drive information development in these processes
- Ability to use the principles of analytical/critical thinking regularly while reviewing content in unfamiliar subject areas
